Parsha Ki Tetze
Parsha Ki Tetze כי תצא “When You Go Out”
- Torah portion: Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19
- Haphtarah: Isaiah 54:1-10
- Brit Chadasha: 1 Corinthians 5:1-5
Did you know: Ki Tetze is the 6th parsha [portion] of sefer [scroll of/book of] Devarim [Deuteronomy]?
Science/Technology/History: Deut 23:12-14 tells about “covering your excrement.” This week we will study the importance of proper sanitation, clean water, and effective plumbing. This site will be used as the basis of our studies.
Science: Deut 22:6-7 discusses birds. This week we will look at birds and the innate ability that God gave them to build nests. As we will learn while reading this article, birds’ nests are actually created to deter pests and parasites.
Art: No week spent discussing birds is complete without a study of artist and bird-lover John James Audubon. This week we have two different links for art. The first is for the little people to complete and the second is for the older kids.
