Relationships… God’s way <3
I tried to avoid writing about this subject… But the Father keeps bringing it back to me and I feel like He really wants me to talk about it.
I’ ‘ll start out by showing a verse.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down,One can help the other up.”
That’s a very good verse describing how two are better than one. I think Yahweh’s perfect way is for us to be with our significant other. It might be faster for others to find that person or longer, it’s really up to the Father to determine whether or not you are even ready for a relationship. I know at times it can get very frustrating but we just have to wait on Him because He knows better! His ways are higher than our ways.
I read a book recently called “Boy Meets Girl by Joshua Harris.” The book really opened up my eyes to a whole new understanding of what it actually means to love someone and what it means to be pure in your relationship and how important it really is to have Yahweh in the center of it. One of the things that changed is my perspective of kissing.
I always thought it was okay to kiss someone, especially if you loved that person! I mean whats the harm? It’s just a kiss anyway.
Well… Not exactly. It’s much more than just a kiss. Even if you know that that person is the one that you are going to be with for the rest of your life you should still remain pure in your relationship with that person. I think the most important thing is to save your first kiss for when you get married! In the book by Joshua Harris I learned a lot on this subject and it really helped me understand relationships a lot better.
We can never fulfill the feeling of perfect love with a human being. The only love that will ever satisfy is the love of Yeshua. He died on the cross for our sins, and we will never ever be loved by anyone more than He loves us! His love never fails.
Once we understand what Yeshua did for us on the cross then we can understand love a little better, I think.
So if you’re that guy or girl reading this and you haven’t found that “dream girl or dream guy” yet, don’t get frustrated! Wait on the Lord! He has everything under control
“For I know the plans that I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
That’s my most favorite verse! I know He’s got a plan for me, so I try not to worry.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life…” That’s the beginning of Matthew 6:24. It’s a great reassurance that we don’t have to worry! Not even a little. Yahweh loves us so much. He wants us to have the desires of our heart, but not in our timing; in His. We have to be patient enough to wait on the Lord’s timing! Because His timing is perfect. Can’t you just imagine how perfect it will be when you finally, after such a long time of waiting, just finally get to see the person your meant to be with? Just how happy and thankful would you be? It will be perfect! Because you waited on Him. Don’t settle with someone just because you got tired of waiting… DON’T DO IT! It will most likely end up in heartbreak, or even worse, being married to someone you don’t truly love just because you’re scared of being alone. You’re not alone. Yeshua is there. And sometimes, His plans for your life might not be getting married. Maybe He has a greater calling for you. You just have to learn to trust Him. He knows what’s best for you. Do you trust Him?
Don’t be dishonest with the Father, He knows what you’re feeling. Just tell Him how you really feel. Tell Him how you are upset. Tell Him you are angry and you don’t want to wait anymore. Will it change His mind? Will your dream person just pop out of thin air? Probably not… But it will feel better to be honest with the Father. He is our Dad! Tell Him.
He will guide your footsteps. Seek the Father first.
There’s this one revelation that came to me during worship service one day.
He said to me “Walk with me. We’ll pick him up on the way. Just walk with me, we’ll see him soon.” I just remember thinking, “Wow, Yahweh is amazing!” All He wants is our full attention, our whole life devoted to Him; to worshiping Him. Read His word, worship Him, pray everyday. Just be patient! He knows you. If there is anyone struggling with relationships and trusting God, then seek wise counsel. Ask your parents, they can be very helpful. Ask the Father first and foremost, but seek good counsel. You can also message me through my Facebook page and I would be happy to talk with you and help anyway I can. I might not get back to you immediately but I will try my best. And I also recommend reading the books “Boy Meets Girl” and “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” both by Joshua Harris.
Trust in the Fathers plan for your life. – Liv
