Follow Yeshua!

By Nathan Mancini

So many people seem to focus only on the death of Messiah, and are all about Him saving us from our sin. He did save us, and He did die for us, and I don’t minimize that at all; but He also LIVED for us. He set a perfect example for us, and He showed us much more than we might realize.

The deal isn’t that He dies for us to save us from our sins so that we can just go off sinning all we want, His sacrifice does not give us a license to sin, at all. We need to give our lives to Him as He gave His life for us. We need to love Him with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our mind, and with all of our strength.

Luke 9:23

“And He said to them all, ‘If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.’”

Yeshua is saying that we need to be a living sacrifice to Him and The Father by living each day following His word and being devoted to Him forever. Love Him above everything in your life!

Romans 12:1-2

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of YHVH, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto Elohim, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of YHVH.”

John 15:13-14

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, is ye do whatsoever I command you.”

Yeshua is our friend if we do what He commands, and if we lay down our lives for Him, then we fulfill the love that we need to have towards Him.

He has laid down His life for us, He loves us with a love so huge that there is no greater! He deserves our obedience, and all the glory that we can give Him!

So take up your cross daily by keeping everything that He commands, and present yourself a living sacrifice, laying down your life for Him each day for your entire life. You will be rewarded so greatly, with things so awesome that we can’t even imagine, with eternal life! That’s not a thousand years, it’s not a million, not a billion, and not even close to a trillion… It’s forever and ever! Hard to even imagine that, isn’t it? His promise is awesome! Yeshua is the way, the truth, and the life. Follow Him.

“Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”

Revelation 5:11-13

Hallelujah!!!

Be a servant, be a leader.

Exodus 18:21“Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens.”

So what does it mean to be a leader? Usually when we think of a leader, we think of someone with authority, someone with confidence, someone with wisdom, and a lot of other qualities. Recently, I have been thinking about what it really, truly means to be a leader. Those qualities above are important, but I think the number one quality is to be a servant. I know that sounds strange because servants serve leaders. But to be a leader, I believe you must be a servant first.

Being a servant humbles you, it doesn’t make you rise above all the others, but it brings you down to everyone’s level, because not one person is better than the other; we are ALL God’s children, He loves us all equally, we are His. Therefore being a servant makes you a leader.

People want a leader who is God-fearing, lays down its own life for another, who serves others and is honest, caring, speaks with authority, and much more. People won’t respect a leader who doesn’t serve, who doesn’t care, abuses power, lazy, selfish… I don’t want to be led by someone like that. Do you?

Someone who is in a leadership position should have a strong relationship with the Father. Go in your secret place and worship, pray, talk with Him. He loves it so much when His children come to Him, and humble themselves before him. I was listening to someone talk about being a leader, and having a passion for the revival of the nations, and the guy said something very interesting that caught my attention, he said;

“If you make HIM famous in the secret place, HE will make you famous in the world.”

I love that, but of course you shouldn’t be made known for your OWN glory, but for His glory, make His name famous in the world. That’s one of the things I desire to do most, to go out and travel and make my Fathers name known to ALL and be part of a generation who seeks His face, the generation who revives the nations, who brings glory to His name, forever and ever. I want to be part of leadership who leads thousands to Yahweh, through Yeshua and with the power of the Holy spirit, with the Word of God in my heart forever. Make Him famous in your secret place, prayer works, don’t ever doubt it!

Anyway… Here’s a very interesting verse I just found,

John 3:30  “He must increase, but I must decrease.

What does that mean? Well I believe it means that it means, more of God, less of us. More of Him less of me, God, above everything else. When you are in a large leadership position, or in a small one, make Him higher than yourself.

Is everyone a leader? YES! We are ALL leaders, so don’t single yourself out, because you think you’re not a leader. But let me tell you that you are! You might not be a leader of a fellowship, or in a large company, or big stuff like that. But you are a leader in your home, school, anywhere. There’s always someone who looks up to you, someone who needs your leadership in there life. Leaders need other leaders to sharpen them, pray for them, help them. So WE are ALL leaders. Don’t be a slave to fear, you are a child of God! Be courageous! He’s calling us out! He’s drawing us in, closer and closer. He’s calling us out to be leaders among nations, to be on the front lines of battle.

 Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
