Holy Spirit and the Word. By Liv Allen
What does it mean to worship? How do you worship? Why do we worship the Father? We need worship in our lives! It is an important part of our relationship with Yahweh.
He desires to dwell in you, to be the center of attention in your life, to be first on your list for the day and also in every other second. He loves us! All He wants is our love and our worship to Him. So what fills us up with that special feeling when we feel His presence in worship? Well, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is Yahweh’s power; He uses it to fill us.
I like to think of the Spirit as Yahweh’s helper. The helper is leading us to the master which is Yeshua (Jesus). Like in the story of “A Bride for Isaac”, Abraham sent out his servant Eleazer to find a wife for Isaac. In Hebrew Eleazer means “God is Help”, as in “Helper”. So he goes out to find Isaac’s bride, and of course he finds her and he brings her back to Isaac. She went to Isaac on a camel, and she had 10 camels with her. The 10 camels represent the 10 commandments, the bride, as in us because we are the bride of Yeshua, came to Isaac “The Master” or “Yeshua”, led by the servant or “helper” or “the Holy Spirit”! So all together, The Holy Spirit led the bride and the 10 commandments to Yeshua.
Pretty cool right? My Dad was showing me this and I was astonished by it! In other words, we need the power of the Holy Spirit and the Torah. I call this the perfect balance. Being led by the Spirit and also following the Torah and of course the Torah is used to make us guilty before God and points to the solution, which is Yeshua! Because He died on the Cross for our sins, He paid the price, He saved our souls, and we owe it all to Him. So back to worship…
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
We are not our own. We have God’s Spirit inside of us! It gives us the confidence to pray for the sick and have them healed! To pray for the lame and have them stand up and walk! To pray for the blind and have them see! This is pure faith. Without faith what are we? If we have no faith in the Father then what good is your faith that He exists? Yeshua says “O ye of little faith”, He knows it’s hard for us to believe that we could actually walk on water if He asked us to, I mean seriously, water? We all know that it’s impossible to walk on water, you’ll drown! But, we have faith knowing that the Father won’t let us drown. We might fall and go beneath the waves, but His hand is there to pull us back out into His loving arms where we belong. Have faith! Philippians 4:13 “I can do ALL through Christ who strengthens me.” Don’t doubt His love for you one second; He is always there, filling us with His Spirit, guiding us with His word. Have Faith.
